Here are the key elements that we have accomplished since January:
- February 8th: Graines de Paix officially opened a satellite branch in Benin, with offices in Abomey-Calavi, comprised of training spaces for our upcoming training sessions.
- Jules F. Zannou was officially named National Coordinator for Graines de Paix in Benin. He brings to Graines de Paix his expertise in academic, administrative, and legal work.
- February 2nd-8th: Graines de Paix met with representatives from the Ministry of Preschool and Primary Education to review the curriculum and to determine the most appropriate setting and schedule for teacher training sessions.
- Graines de Paix spoke with UNICEF, the NGO Educo, and Helvetas in order to coordinate our interventions, particularly in the region of Alibori, to maximize the impact of actors in the education sector.
- Graines de Paix obtained official authorization to carry out its activities in pre-schools and primary schools in the departments of the Atlantic and Littoral.
- Members of the Graines de Paix Switzerland team will go back to Benin during the next few months in order to carry out the first activities related to the project and to finalize the contents and setting of the training sessions. We look forward to sharing our progress with you.
- We want to thank you again for your support! We would not be able to do this work without you. Follow the activities of Graines de Paix on our Facebook page and by visiting our website.
