Information on Graines de Paix

Graines de Paix is an international NGO that designs and develops education solutions for achieving quality education. These are designed for three key impacts: school success, violence and radicalization prevention and societal peace.

Such results require integrating into the school curricula the full range of psychosocial, emotional and inclusion competencies that are essential both for school achievement and peaceful coexistence. For this, we have developed activity-based teaching resources for teachers and students, plus extracurricular materials for other settings.

In parallel, we provide specific training resources to help teachers develop their teaching postures and practices with the aim of reinforcing child self-esteem, listening and dialogue skills, critical thinking and problem solving.

We also provide curriculum development and advisory services to Education ministries.

Founded in 2005 in Geneva, Switzerland, Graines de Paix is a recognized public charity and has received ECOSOC status with the UN. It is neutral and independent of any political, religious or sectarian persuasions, always favouring open dialogue.

Graines de Paix is active in Switzerland, France, West Africa, and the MENA region.

Our online resources are written in French and we are currently in the process of redoubling our efforts to create a 100% bilingual website.

The remaining website pages to translate concern:

• the information sections (About us, Activities, News...)
• the Resource section (Dictionary, Quotations, Authors, ...)

We also have several documents and brochures to translate on an ad hoc basis into English.

QUALIFICATIONS

• English mother tongue
• Fluid writing style, able to adapt to the writing style of the website
• Proficient spelling/ grammar
• Proficient use of Word and its revision tools
• Website editing experience.
